Methodology
Every classified post or comment in LeadLinx's own leads database — the same real Reddit content the product surfaces for its users — is eligible for this index, filtered to records with a valid 0–10 intent score (a historical scoring bug affected roughly half of older records; those are excluded entirely rather than averaged in).
Each record's AI-assigned classification is mapped onto LeadLinx's current 4-tier taxonomy (High-Intent Buyer, Alternative Seeker, Problem Venting, Disqualified — disqualified posts are filtered out before storage, so this index reflects qualified signal only, not raw unfiltered traffic). The classification labels were refined on July 26–29, 2026; records from before that date used a related but differently-named set of categories, which this index maps onto their closest current equivalent rather than silently averaging them in under a name they were never actually given.
Subreddits are reported individually only once they clear a minimum sample size; smaller subreddits are folded into the overall total rather than shown with a percentage computed from a handful of posts.
This is a LeadLinx-defined methodology for an internal publishing decision, not an independently peer-reviewed statistical model — the exact tier weightings and thresholds are documented here, not treated as a black box, and are open to revision as more data comes in.
Limitations
- infoThis is a snapshot of what LeadLinx's own users have searched for, not a random or representative sample of all Reddit activity — categories with more LeadLinx searches are naturally overrepresented.
- infoThe sample only covers a few months of consistent, valid-score data, with some weeks showing unexplained low volume (likely usage gaps, not real drops in Reddit activity) — not yet enough for a reliable trend line, which is why this release reports a cumulative snapshot rather than a week-by-week chart.
- infoNo individual post, username, or quote is included anywhere in this index — every number here is an aggregate count or percentage.

About LeadLinx
LeadLinx is a B2B platform that finds business leads on Reddit, scores each one by buying intent with AI, and manages the results in a built-in CRM pipeline. This index is a byproduct of that classification work, not a separate research effort — publishing it is a way of sharing what the product already sees, with real methodology and real limitations attached.
